Gerald Blackie

Gerald Blackie - Chairman and CEO

With over 27 years of experience in the software industry, Gerald is chairman and CEO. Since joining Kaseya in 2003, he has been responsible for developing Kaseya's global sales and delivery framework, and responding to the company's rapid growth in the managed IT services market.

Prior to joining Kaseya, Gerald founded Captura Software, based in Seattle, WA. Captura was founded to develop the systems to process large amounts of expense transactions for large companies via a policy engine. The rules-based software market grew quickly and Captura was sold to Concur Technologies (NASDAQ:CNQR) in 2002.

Previous to his position with Captura, Gerald founded Platinum Software Corporation, which provided network-based multi-user accounting systems targeted at the SMB and industry leading ERP solutions. The company, now called Epicor (NASDAQ:EPIC), is a leading provider of integrated ERP, CRM and SCM solutions.

Gerald attended the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, NZ and the University of Auckland, Auckland NZ from 1972 to 1977 majoring in marketing and business.

Mark Sutherland

Mark Sutherland - President

With over 20 years of software product development experience, Mark Sutherland guides Kaseya's product development and architecture team to produce simple solutions to complex IT problems. Sutherland applies his significant security experience to produce Kaseya's comprehensive IT management framework. The result is a highly secure solution that is easy to use, manage, deploy, and scale. Sutherland is highly customer focused and interacts extensively with customers to aggressively drive the future direction of Kaseya's products and services.

Prior to founding Kaseya, Sutherland was vice president of engineering and product development with Spyrus, an identity management solutions company. Sutherland built a team of 45 engineers, which produced many first-to-market products for the emerging data security industry, including; the first portable cryptographic token (PCMCIA format), the first MSP email security protocol implementation for Microsoft, and one of the first smart card based implementations of secure web access.

Prior to joining Spyrus, Sutherland directed development organizations for Elsin and TRW/ESL, (a leading defense electronics company). While with Elsin, he architected key technology products, which lead to the successful acquisition of the company by Tracor. Over the course of nine years with TRW, Sutherland held several positions, one of which was director of the business development group, where he was responsible for spread spectrum exploitation systems.

Sutherland attended the University of Illinois, earning a Masters of Science degree in electrical engineering.

Paul Wong

Paul Wong - Chief Technical Officer

With over 22 years of experience designing and developing systems and software products for the computer security and software industries, Paul is the CTO of Kaseya. His responsibilities with Kaseya include all aspects of the architecture of the Web-based remote PC management system, and the software design and implementation of the client/server components of the system.

Prior to Kaseya, Paul has served for seven years as a lead product architect and development manager for a variety of computer security applications at Spyrus.  Previously, Paul spent six years with Tracor ELSIN as Senior Software Engineer and five years at TRW/ESL, where he was responsible for designing solutions, which infiltrate communications systems and compromise security. Most recently, his expertise has been used to architect security management solutions for Internet-based applications.

His engineering and product management expertise include embedded cryptographic processors, communication protocols, device drivers, software security toolkits, and communication signal acquisition and analysis systems.

Wong attended UCLA where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering.

Tim McMullen

Tim McMullen - Chief Operating Officer

Tim brings over 25 years of experience in the software industry to the Kaseya executive team, including strategic software and technology management, business development, and overall operations. As COO, Tim is responsible for Kaseya's strategic direction, and oversees global product management and development resources.

Tim started his career as a system engineer at Sperry Univac in Chicago. In 1982, he founded Platinum Software Corporation, where he served as Chief Technical Officer until 1998. During that time, Tim also worked as a Director and Advisor at Omni Vista Software Corporation, Captura Software, and Alerio Software. He also held the position of executive Vice President of Business Development at MindArrow, Inc., in Mission Viejo, California. In addition, Tim served as Chief Operating Officer / interim Chief Executive Officer at Vicinity Corporation in Sunnyvale, California.

Tim received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton.

Bob Davis

Bob Davis - Chief Marketing Officer

With more than 25 years of software marketing and executive management experience, Bob Davis oversees Kaseya’s global marketing efforts. Davis applies significant experience from marketing network and system management solutions to directing Kaseya’s strategy, product marketing, branding, public relations, design and social networking functions One of the original founders of the company, Davis returned to Kaseya in 2010.

Throughout his career, Davis has managed the strategy, execution and launch of literally hundreds of products in companies ranging from small start-ups to Global 500 corporations. Most recently, he served at Sentilla as President and CEO, where he lead their successful Series B Funding round and transformed the company’s go to market strategies.

Davis’ experience includes Novell, where he held several progressive positions including the position of Chief Marketing officer as well as successfully leading Novell’s TCP/IP efforts as General Manager of Novell’s Connectivity Products Group. He also helped start Netreon, a storage design company; which was purchased by CA Technologies where he ultimately led the $500M storage division.

Davis received an M.B.A from the University of Santa Clara and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Anne Huemme

Anne D. Huemme - Chief Financial Officer

Anne Huemme brings more than 25 years of fiscal management experience to Kaseya, together with a solid track record of building world-class operational organizations. As CFO at Kaseya, Huemme will oversee all business system functions at the company and will have responsibility for finance and operational reporting, planning and forecasting.

With 15 years of experience as CFO, Huemme brings strong expertise in high-tech and low-tech growth companies. Huemme most recently served as CFO at WebLayers, Inc., where she managed expected aggressive revenue growth, instituted corporate governance practices, and established operational and financial infrastructure. Huemme also has held CFO positions at the following technology companies: UItimus, Inc., Ardence, Inc. (acquired by Citrix Systems, Inc.), and Optical Solutions (acquired by Calix, Inc.).

Huemme holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, where she was a Fuqua Scholar and a B.A. in Economics from Duke University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Jim Alves

Jim Alves - EVP, OEM & Strategic Initiatives

With 24 years in the software, computer and consulting industry, Jim's experience has been vital in developing Kaseya's direct and channel based sales and marketing programs worldwide. His previous position at Platinum Software taught him that the channel needs constant care and feeding, otherwise it will move to the next thing.

Frank Hoppe

Frank I. Hoppe - EVP and General Counsel

With extensive experience providing legal and business guidance to technology, software and service companies in outside and in-house positions, Frank I. Hoppe serves as Kaseya’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Hoppe is responsible for all aspects of Kaseya’s expanding global legal endeavors.

Prior to Kaseya, Mr. Hoppe served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at West Corporation, a leading provider of outsourced communication solutions with headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, helping West to quintuple yearly revenues during his tenure to over $2 Billion. Mr. Hoppe previously served as Vice President of Corporate Development at uRoam, Inc. (acquired by F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV)) in Fremont, California , and worked as associate counsel at the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, and the law firm Krieg, Keller, Sloan, Reilley & Roman.

In addition to his J.D. from UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law, Mr. Hoppe received his B.A., with distinction, as an Echols Scholar from the University of Virginia.

Monica Hoppe

Monica Hoppe - EVP, Global Human Resources

As the EVP of Global HR at Kaseya, Monica Hoppe is responsible for all human resources and staffing functions worldwide, supporting Kaseya's impressive talent pool of over 400 employees located in more than 20 countries. By overseeing Kaseya’s HR processes, benefits and compensation, legal compliance, and diversity initiatives, Hoppe assures that Kaseya is able to recruit and retain the incredible talent that is integral to Kaseya’s ongoing success.

Prior to joining Kaseya, she practiced law with international law firms Cooley LLP and Husch Blackwell LLP. Hoppe's law practice focused on employment litigation and counseling, including human resources best practices and legal compliance issues in jurisdictions around the globe on behalf of a broad range of domestic and international clients including Kaseya.

Hoppe earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Women’s Studies from the University of California at Los Angeles, where she graduated cum laude. She subsequently received her law degree from UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law, and is a member of several Bar Associations including the California Bar.

Martin Ashby

Martin Ashby - EVP, APAC

Martin Ashby has more than 20 years experience in the IT, outsourcing and finance industries and is currently Executive Vice President at Kaseya for the Asia and Pacific Region. Based at Kaseya's regional headquarters in Singapore, Martin pioneered Kaseya's expansion into the Asia and Pacific markets more than 5 years ago and is responsible for all new business generation, services and operations.

Prior to Kaseya, Martin worked in Europe for more than 7 years. Initially based in London, his time commenced as Director for European Operations, introducing a dynamic Australian software company, Invisic Software, into the European market with its ground breaking professional service automation software. Later, Martin served as Director of Operations for Exigen Group specializing in business process outsourcing to government and large multinational corporations in the finance and insurance sectors.

Prior to Europe Martin was based in Sydney, Australia. He helped pioneer the introduction of financial software specialist, Platinum Software (now trading as Epicor) into the Australiasian market. Martin also worked at top-tier Accounting firms, Touche Ross and Co, and KPMG holding specialist positions in their Audit, Business Advisory and Management Information Services divisions.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Economics degree majoring in Accounting and Computer Science from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Jon McNerney

Jon McNerney - EVP, EMEA

Jon McNerney brings Kaseya more than 20 years of international general management and business development experience, and a significant background in global sales and marketing. Prior to joining Kaseya, Jon worked for the Geneva and Washington, DC based non-profit Internet Society as Chief Operating Officer.

Before ISOC he was the Vice President and General Manager of International Operations at Talisma Corporation where he led their global management team and oversaw operations, administration, sales, support, professional services, and marketing. Jon has also held executive positions with Autonomy Corporation, Interwise, Inc., Lotus Development Corporation, and NewsEdge Corporation, among others. Jon is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Jon graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a BA in Literature and a BA in Business Economics.

Alan Davis

Alan Davis - EVP, Global Product Support

Alan is dedicated to providing unsurpassable support to Kaseya clients. At Kaseya Connect 2009 User Conference, he announced a six-month goal to improve customer relations by implementing changes based on feedback and posting the results on Kaseya's Forum each month. Under his direction, Kaseya has implemented online surveys to gauge satisfaction and Alan has taken steps to implement a customer portal and Service Desk. As VP of Customer Support, Alan strives to enhance Kaseya's ability to better serve its global community. His vast knowledge of the department stems from four years' experience as director of global support, and five years in his current role.

Prior to joining Kaseya, Alan established and built a support department for Ideal Hardware, which was acquired by Bell Micro. He also successfully ran private companies for ten years.

Alan earned his master's in business administration from The Open University.
